“The Cooking Demonstrations”
The Texas Mushroom Festival is dedicated to providing a unique cultural and educational experience for visitors by promoting our agricultural, culinary and fine arts. Madisonville is officially the Mushroom Capital of Texas and we have some of the finest culinary talent in the state within our reach! Mushrooms are a predominant ingredient.  The chef will provide a recipe for 4 – 6 people which will be printed in the Texas Mushroom Festival Guide, demonstrate their recipe during the festival and prepare 500 samples for the audience. The Texas Mushroom Festival Cooking Demonstration Tent is across the street from the Woodbine Hotel and Restaurant located two blocks north of the town square at 209 N Madison in Madisonville, Texas.
